Saturday 23rd & 30th January  10-12pm – Metal Clay for Beginners Via Zoom - Learn the basics of working with Metal Clay in the comfort of your own home. The course consists of two sessions which will run Saturday 23rd & 30th January from 10-12pm.

The aim of the course is to give you confidence in handling and working with the clay through two projects. Both projects will introduce you to techniques and tools essential for creating metal clay jewellery. You can work at your own pace, work in your own time at home to complete projects and also be working on your own projects alongside the set ones. You can use the sessions to answer questions you build up throughout the week.

The two projects will be...

* Textured Pendant & Earrings - using natural materials and objects (Day 1)

* Dry Construction Pendant using moulds and cut elements (Day 2)

Both projects will use a 5g pack of PMC Flex. This can be supplied by Amy at a cost of £11.65 (per pack) + delivery. You will need a basic metal clay kit which can be purchased from Amy at £25.00 + delivery. Other tools and consumables can be found around the house and garden or easily purchased online. Amy will provide a list on booking or on request prior to booking.

As part of the course you will also have access to a private Facebook Group throughout the duration where you can ask questions and gather further information. Amy will aim to answer any questions within 24hrs.

If anybody interested would like some help getting Zoom set up I am more than happy to help you with that too!

Friday 29th January & Friday 5th February 10.30 - 1.30pm - Stone Set Metal Clay Rings - This course, delivered via Zoom, is designed for people wanting to improve their Metal Clay skills.

The aim of the course is to give you the knowledge and techniques needed to create metal clay rings including a simple stone setting. You can work at your own pace and work in your own time at home to complete the projects. You are welcome to use the sessions to answer questions you may have about other projects you have in mind.

The two sessions will cover...

  • how to calculate the length needed to make a specific size ring
  • how to roll, texture, cut and join the clay to form a ring
  • how to finish the ring to a consistent thickness and perfect finish
  • how to set a 5mm round faceted Cubic Zirconia
  • how to create pieces for decoration and how to apply them
  • how to fire and finish the ring

The project will use a 15g pack of PMC Flex, a basic Metal Clay kit and a ring mandrel. Other tools and consumables can be found around the house and garden or easily purchased online. Amy will provide a list on booking or on request prior to booking. As part of the course you will also have access to a private Facebook Group throughout the duration where you can ask questions and gather further information. Amy will endeavour be to answer any questions within 24hrs.

Friday 12th & Saturday 13th February 9.30-5.30pm – Camp PMC 101 Certification (Places limited to 6) - 

In thisYou will make five projects including a pair of earrings with a firable stone, a double textured pendant with syringe detail, wrapped beads, a sculpted toggle clasp and a wrapped ring with a firable stone. The class utilizes PMC3, PMC Flex and PMC OneFire 950 clays to ensure each student learns the appropriate usage of each type of clay. You will need to have suitable tools to complete the course. Saturday 20th February 10-5pm – (POSTPONED DUE TO COVID 19) Introduction to Precious Metal Clay - Learn how to work with PMC to create unique jewellery. You'll make a silver leaf pendant using PMC paste, a pair of earrings or charms using simple texturing techniques and torch firing, a multi layer dry construction silver pendant using cutting, texturing and forming techniques, set stones and much more on this one day course.

Saturday 26th February 10.30 - 12.30pm - Make your own Findings via Zoom - Learn how to use wire, formers and pliers to create a collection of handmade findings that can be used in your jewellery designs.

You will make three different earring wires, a toggle clasp and two different hook clasps

For the session you will need...

Saturday 27th February 10-12pm - SuperDuo Mandala Pendant Via Zoom - Learn how to use SuperDuo Beads, seed beads, crystals and a needle and thread to create these beautiful pendants in this Zoom workshop held by Amy.

There is a choice of four colour ways to choose.

You will also be given further ideas of how to adapt the design to make earrings.

Materials are charged additional to the workshop fee. You can purchase materials at check out or request a materials list.

Saturday 27th February 10-3pm – Introduction to Beads & Wire - Learn the basics of creating jewellery using beads and wire techniques. Within the session you will learn how to use memory wire to create a multi layered bracelet, you will then learn how to use headpins, eye pins, earwires and wire combined with beads to create a bigger project of your choice. This may be a charm bracelet, cluster pendant, chain link necklace or a variety of other designs you can look at on the day or start exploring through our online sites. You will be taught how to finish everything to a professional standard with lots of one to one tuition

Saturday 27th March 10-3pm – Introduction to Beads & Knotting - Learn the basics of creating jewellery using beads and knotting techniques. Within the session you will learn which type of cord to choose for the beads you are using, how to use it to thread projects, which findings to use for finishing, different types of clasps available and how to knot traditionally by hand with a knotting tool. By combining this with beads you will create a project of your choice. This may be a short or long necklace, bracelet, lariat or a variety of other designs you can look at on the day or start exploring through our online sites. You will be taught how to finish everything to a professional standard with lots of one to one tuition
