Our Open workshop facility gives you the opportunity to use all the equipment and tools experienced during workshop sessions and enables you to explore the techniques and tools at your own pace.

 




 


 Beading and PMC Open Workshop
Open workshop 10.30am-2.30pm - £10.00
  Tools and equipment used in the workshops are available for use during this time – Barrel polisher, kiln, torches, beading and PMC equipment.
Although Amy is available for support, prior experience is necessary – these are not teaching sessions. Please call to book - 01865 774298.

  Silversmithing Open Workshop
Open workshop 10.30am-2.30pm - £15.00
  Tools and equipment used in the workshops are available for use during this time – Barrel polisher, pickle, torches, bench tools, formers and the rolling mill.
Although Amy is available for support, prior experience is necessary – these are not teaching sessions. Please call to book - 01865 774298.

Requirements for use –

o    Prior to using the workshop customers must attend an induction session that will cover Health & Safety and appropriate use of tools and equipment. The sessions will last for 1 hour at a cost of £15.00.

o    A reference from somebody who can verify your safety and use of a workshop space.

  Enamelling Open Workshop
First Friday of the Month10.30am-2.30pm - £15.00 (max 4 people)
  Tools and equipment used in the enamelling workshops are available for use during this time – Kiln, sieves, palette knives, brushes, pumice, etc.
Although Amy is available for support, prior experience is necessary – these are not teaching sessions. Please call to book - 01865 774298.

o    Prior to using the workshop customers must attend an induction session that will cover Health & Safety and appropriate use of tools and equipment. The sessions will last for 1 hour at a cost of £15.00. If an Enamelling course has been followed at Amy Surman Jewellery then the induction is not necessary.

o    A reference from somebody who can verify your safety and use of a workshop space.
